During a car rally, one of the most neglected things will be your skin. Once you get to your hotel room after driving for multiple hours a day, you are just going to want to collapse. Say goodbye to your skin care routine – I can guarantee you won’t keep it up. That is why it is so important to prepare before hand.
To keep my skin glowing, I use a face mask every day for 1 week prior to the rally, this ensures the skin is totally hydrated. My go to masks are: WHEN Snow Magic Sheet Mask ($7) which helps to clear and brighten skin and WHEN 10:00pm Sheet Mask which helps to rejuvenate and restore.
You’re probably thinking – is she serious?! Yes I am. Most car rallies you will be driving for a minimum of 5 hours per day. Regardless of what kind of vehicle you are in, from a Range Rover to a Hot Rod…that is a lot of time sitting down and strain on your back. I always visit The Joint as they are affordable and have plenty of locations.
Drinking at least 1 gallon of water per day prior to a car rally is essential. One rookie error of car rallies, is drinking water during the day while you are in the car. This means BATHROOM BREAKS! Not only are there very few locations you can stop at along the way during some rallies, but some of the rest stops can be really gross. Guys have this part a lot easier, but for us girls – it is better to avoid the excess water until you have arrived at your destination.
During a car rally, your choice of places to stop and eat is very limited. In America your choice is basically – McDonalds, Panda Express, Wendy’s and a few other fast food places. On top of that, one of my favorite things to do during car rallies is snack on items from gas stations – Pringles, candy, chocolate…. All the good stuff. While I LOVE fast food and junk food, I always like to fill my body with as much nutrients as possible beforehand.
