All funds generated from sales of the California Pink Ribbon License Plate will be deposited into the Breast Cancer Control Account, which funds the Every Woman Counts program. Every Woman Counts is administered by the California Department of Health Care Services and provides free clinical breast exams and mammograms to California’s underserved women.
The California Pink Ribbon License Plate is currently available for pre-order as the DMV requires 7,500 paid orders before they will manufacture the Pink Ribbon License Plate. They are currently at 5156 plates – not far to go!
The cost: The California Pink Ribbon License Plate costs a fee in addition to your normal registration fee. To pre-order a sequentially numbered plate (a random set of six numbers and letters selected by the DMV); the cost will be $50 ($40 per year to renew plus your normal registration fee). Personalized plates (where you select up to six numbers and/or letters) cost $98 ($78 per year to renew plus your normal registration fee).
